| Personal History | Born and raised in a small town in Montana, Emma Callahan was always known for her resilience and quick thinking. Her father, a Vietnam War veteran, instilled a sense of duty and discipline from a young age. A natural athlete, Emma excelled in sports and graduated high school with honors, earning a scholarship to a prestigious military academy. It was whilst at secondary school that Emma moved into a local neighbourhood where she met James Colt, becoming close friends. They remained that way until Emma moved to the military academy, though she did her best to keep in touch they slowly drifted apart. After graduating with distinction, she enlisted in the U.S. Army and quickly climbed through the ranks, joining the Special Forces and earning a reputation as a no-nonsense, fearless soldier. She was part of a classified special operations unit tasked with missions around the globe, including counter-terrorism, covert operations, and high-risk rescue missions. It was during a break between assignments in 2016 that she and James met again, this time a romance bloomed leading to the rapid decision to marry before either shipped out again. Her last mission, a covert operation against a rogue state that had acquired weapons of mass destruction, resulted in heavy casualties. Emma lost many of her team members during this mission, an event that led to her temporary reassignment and eventual retirement. Despite her scars—both physical and emotional—she still carries the mental toughness and combat expertise of an elite soldier. Emma found herself unable to face her fears, especially those to do with James and his position in the military. Pushing him away she left to give herself time to heal, though their marriage remains they haven’t seen each other in several years.
